Volunteers Week – Reablement Team

1-7 June is Volunteers Week and we are sharing stories of EHSCP colleagues who give up their time for good causes and share stories of those who volunteer within the Partnership.

Megan Dudgeon has been fundraising all year in support of her best friend Alix who has Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Ali’s Army is a campaign to complete 100 challenges in 100 days – reflecting the vital milestone in stem cell recovery of 100 days.

Megan, reablement manager for the south west, has recruited many of her colleagues to also take on challenges for Ali’s Army with all proceeds going to Maggie’s Edinburgh.  

The North West Reablement Team raised an incredible £3,160 through a combination of climbing a Munro and hosting a fun dress-up day at work.

Lisa Forbes, reablement manager in south east , took on a cycling challenge alongside her daughter Amelia, age 11 and Jade McCormack from south west reablement bravely completed a cold-water dip in support of the campaign. Bradley Ralton, team leader in north west has ran an incredible 100km in the month of May for the cause. 

Ali’s Army has now raised over £31,000 for Maggie’s Edinburgh.
