Visibility Scotland and Sight Scotland are our two partners for supporting people living with sight loss across Edinburgh.
To help you better understand, Visibility Scotland and Sight Scotland are offering MS Teams events to share information about what they can do for the people you’re working with, and how you can better connect with them. There will also be time for questions. Both organisations will explain their role and demonstrate a range of digital technology equipment and apps, and their links to our own smart home.
The patient support team based within the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion will describe how their holistic, person centred support connects patients with relevant local and national organisations, creating a seamless pathway for people with sight loss.
The rehabilitation and mobility team will share how specialist rehabilitation and mobility can keep people with sight loss doing the everyday things that are important to them, learning essential skills to live safely at home and navigating the world with confidence.
You will hear how you can use the referral pathway to make connections for the people you’re working with.
There is no need to book, you can join by simply following these links:
Monday 19 July from 2pm – 2:30pm – Click here to join the meeting

If you can’t make either of these sessions, there will be another event towards the end of September, so please check Colleague News nearer the time. For more information, please contact Susan.Shippey@edinburgh.gov.uk
