Living with mental health issues

Anyone can be affected by mental health issues and it is estimated that one in four people in Scotland will experience a mental health problem at some point in their lives.

We may be able to help you if you need support as a result of mental health problems and are already receiving support as an in-patient at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, from a Community Mental Health team or Intensive Home Treatment team.

We can provide the following support:

  • Self care

  • Housing issues and welfare benefits

  • Jobs

  • Leisure options including short breaks

  • Respite for carers

  • Wellness recovery action plans

We will work with you to promote recovery and help to support you access services best suited to your needs.
