The Edinburgh Integration Joint Board (EIJB) is looking for your feedback on the latest draft of their Strategic Plan.
The plan covers the three financial years running from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028, and will set the direction of travel for the EIJB and the work of the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership (EHSCP) for that time.
The EIJB is working in an extremely challenging financial climate. The population of Edinburgh is growing, and people are living longer. This means that there are more people who need more support from EHSCP to help with more complex needs. The cost of providing the care that this ageing population needs is increasing at a faster rate than the level of funding that is allocated to the EIJB.
The plan sets out how the EIJB intends to provide the best health and social care services that they can with the resources that are available. It aims to be clear, realistic and explain how services will be measured.
The feedback collected from a wide range of stakeholders when writing the previous draft of the Strategic Plan has been taken into account when creating this iteration of the plan.
Andy Hall, Service Director – Strategy said ‘I am pleased to be able to share the latest draft of the EIJB’s draft Strategic Plan. The plan shares how we want to make Edinburgh a safer, healthier and fairer place to live for everybody.
‘We’re keen to hear the views of people who live and work in Edinburgh. We’d like to know if you think we have the right priorities, if you agree with what we are planning to do, and if you think the way we plan to measure our success is right.
‘The vast majority of people in Edinburgh will come into contact with our services at some point, so it is critical that we hear from as many people as possible as part of this process. ‘
