The 5th Annual Performance Report for 2020/21 is now published following approval from the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board (IJB).

This year’s report has a particular focus on how the partnership has navigated the COVID-19 pandemic, whilst remaining able to implement and deliver longer term strategic services that will further our mission to deliver even more meaningful care across the city.

Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership Chief Officer, Judith Proctor, comments, “This year’s report shines a light on the incredible efforts by all to continue the critical provision of care, in what was – and remains – an unprecedented context. The developments of the last year, have undoubtedly been challenging, but despite that, this report shares a great number of successes.”

She continues, “These successes are not by chance. Throughout this report, is a story of our transformation and strategy in action. It shows our continued upward journey in a great number of areas, in spite of the enormous system pressures we continue to face.

“Making our strategy actionable, is every single member of our caring community – unpaid carers, staff, partners, stakeholders. During the last year, we have further advanced how we work together, and whilst there is always going to be more to do, there is an incredible amount within this report, to be proud of”.

Publishing our report

Health and Social Care Partnerships are legally required to produce a Performance Report every year and is prepared in line with the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 and Scottish Government Guidance.

This year, due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on City of Edinburgh Council, NHS Scotland services, our report was unable to be published to the usual statutory timescale.

In accordance with Part 3 of the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020, we took the decision to postpone the publication of our Annual Performance Report to the end of October 2021.
