NHS Lothian, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and Public Health Scotland are working in partnership to conduct a comprehensive health needs assessment of Scotland’s LGBT+ population.

After engaging with over 180 LGBTQ+ people across Scotland on their experiences of health and wellbeing their feedback has been carefully considered to develop the survey which is open to all LGBTQ+ people aged 16 and over until 20th August 2021.

The survey will ask people about all aspects of their health and wellbeing, as well as the factors that are known to influence health, including mental and emotional health, physical activity, eating, smoking, alcohol, relationships, social connections, income, experience of discrimination and experience of services. If you take part, you will also have the opportunity to choose whether you would like to be included in entering a prize draw to win one of four prizes of a voucher at your preferred retailer for £250.

By taking part in the survey you will help to ensure that the health service in Scotland is able to meet the health and wellbeing needs of LGBT+ people, not just in how it provides inclusive health services, but also in the way that ill health prevention and promotion of positive health is delivered.

If you or someone you know would like to take part in the survey, you can find it at https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/ScotlandLGBT2021
